Do I need to prepare prior to taking a PCR test?

There is no special preparation needed for the nasal swab PCR test.

How long is the testing process at the test centre?

The Covid-19 PCR test procedure takes only about 5 minutes to be administered, and the entire process (including wait time and registration) should not be more than 20-30 minutes.

How long do I have to wait to receive my PCR test result?

For Standard PCR test ($96), the test results will be emailed to you within 24 hours.
For Express PCR test ($228), you will receive your test results within 5 - 7 hours.
For Rapid Express PCR test ($388), you will receive your test results within 3 hours.

What do I do if my Pre-Departure COVID-19 PCR swab test result is positive?

If your PCR swab test comes back positive, you can refer to https://www.covid.gov.sg/ as reference to find out what to do. If applicable, your results will also be automatically updated in your TraceTogether app and/or HealthHub portal.

What is the required testing window for a pre-departure COVID-19 PCR swab test?

The required testing window varies, and it is dependent on your destination country as well as departure flight time. Please check the testing window requirements of the country that you are traveling to and whether our testing turn-around time can meet the required timeline.

I need to travel urgently in less than 48 hours. Can I still take the Covid-19 PCR Pre-Departure Test?

You may opt for the Express PCR test where you will get the results and Notarised Digital HealthCert in 5 - 7 hours.

You should check the testing window requirements of your destination country and ensure you have set aside adequate time to take and receive the test results before your travel.

I need to travel in next 6 to 12 hours for an emergency trip. What are my options for PCR Pre-Departure Test?

You may opt for the Rapid Express PCR test (at any of our testing centres) where you will get the results and Notarised Digital HealthCert in 3 hours. (via email)
